Mexican choreographer Ofelia Loret de Mola and her company of 10 dancers collaborates with The Nerve Tank, two composers, and a visual artist to transform a narrow swath of City Hall Park into a carnival in Available Space. Inspired by the chess tables in City Hall Park, acrobats, jugglers, tight rope walkers, and a bearded lady evoke the grit and cheap sparkle of a Mexican circus. Together these characters perform a series of acts illustrating the political subtext in a game of chess. Led by a marching band, the audience travels with the performers from the west side of City Hall Park to the Brooklyn Bridge. Musicians perform alternative and punk rock. Exploring space and social interaction, Available Space uncovers the fantasies and secrets of our society.

(am I that I am) and the New York premiere of TALE.
Ofelia Loret de Mola’s newest dance-centered performance piece explores human nuance and the effect it has on
perception. Conceived within the structural limits of a palindrome, The Seams (am I that I am) is a
multidisciplinary piece examining the filters we use in order to co-exist. This piece was co-directed by Marie
Fairbanks Morrow, in collaboration with Set Designer Solomon Weisbard and Video Artist Nick
D’agostino. Accompanying this world premiere will be the New York premiere of TALE, inspired by the
fantastic reality of Guillermo del Toro to the original score of international concert pianist Tian Jiang.
